Jasper-Troupsburg Jazz Band plays their hearts out to a full crowd by Bob Cornish Photography

Over the past three years the Jazz Fest concert has been held as a fundraiser for the JT Band Boosters. There are many costs associated with the band, and many fundraisers go directly to the kids accounts and the boosters do not benefit from them.  A few of the things the boosters have contributed to is the annual dry cleaning of the Awesome Wildcat Marching Band uniforms.  You can imagine the cost of this as there are 85+ uniforms.  They have also held appreciation breakfasts for the Jazz Band, and provided pizza during long practices.  They try to help in every area of the band program.  If you would like to help support or even join the Band Boosters, here is a link to their Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/groups/340231053724/?fref=ts.

The members worked hard, had a great show and were accompanied by a very special group of adult performers, "The One Gig Wonders" put together by Mr. Neff.  They played some big band classics, some jazz fusion along with some modern rock.  Food and drinks were also provided.  Sadly, I have to admit this was the first time I have been to one of the Jazz Ensemble concerts and I had a great time listening to them.

Also keep a look out for some images from the upcoming 2013 Marching Band season.  I for one am really looking forward to it.

If you're interested in purchasing some of the images please visit http://www.bobcornishphotography.com/2013jazzfest.  Just click on an image that you like and select "buy" in the upper right hand corner and make your selections.  Framing options are also available.

Enjoy the show!
